Huawei Hubble and cornerstone capital have invested, and Lingdong Xingguang has completed a new round of financing

Recently, the silicon-based photonics technology company Lingdong Xingguang completed a new round of financing, introducing shareholders including Huawei's Shenzhen Hubble Technology Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership) and Shenzhen Lingwo Cornerstone Venture Capital Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership).


It is reported that Lingdong Xingguang was established in Shenzhen in June 2022. The company focuses on the design and development of silicon-based optoelectronic integrated chips based on silicon nitride materials, and its technology comes from the research results of Professor Chen's research team in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University for more than ten years. After years of research and engineering practice, the entrepreneurial team has solved key technical problems and production processes such as silicon optical chip design, ultra-low loss silicon nitride waveguide processing technology, multi chip hybrid integrated packaging, mechanical and thermal stability of heterogeneous material packaging, and completed the transfer of laboratory technology to industrial technology, creating a closed-loop system from theory to technology to product.


With the technical support of the Department of Electronics at Tsinghua University, the Lingdong Semiconductor team has developed an ultra-low loss silicon nitride waveguide integrated chip based on their rich experience in silicon optical chip design. They have also successfully developed a silicon-based integrated external cavity laser using their self-developed chip. There are two main categories of products under the Lingdong Core Light brand: one is silicon-based integrated external cavity narrow linewidth lasers, which have the advantages of ultra narrow linewidth and high wavelength stability, and are the core optoelectronic devices of distributed fiber optic sensing systems; Another type of product is the high linearity frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) laser radar light source product developed based on this technology, which has good frequency modulation linearity, can improve the resolution of laser radar products, solve the bottleneck of nonlinear distortion, and is mainly aimed at the automotive laser radar market with huge growth space.


Since 2023, Lingdong Xingguang has been promoting the construction of the first phase of the Changzhou production/research and development base production line. It is expected to have the packaging capability of single shift 500pcs/month silicon optical hybrid integrated devices and the production, aging, and testing capability of 500pcs/month silicon optical integrated modules after completion.
